What a night! Can I keep doing this? My whole body is tired...

First I want to just say that I know I haven't been blogging daily, but I do still get on here and read what you all write, and I do want you all to know we can't wait to meet you, its just been crazy busy around here. THis time of year always seems to be, I get really involved in the Relay for LIfe, and we have fundraisers and meeting and all kinds of stuff so sorry that we haven't been blogging as much.
What a night, I just got back from the swim center! Wow, I feel I have a love hate kind of relationship with that placeSmile Can I really keep doing this? I am soked like a drenched rate, my fingers are prunned from being in the pool so long, my eyes burn from all the chlorine, my biceps are burning from doing body lifts in the pool, my legs are tingling for pushing myself to run the last 30 minutes I was in there instead of just walking, my entire body achesBaring teeth I guess to sum it up...can I really push my body harder, can I really continue to sweat like a pig, and have my swim suit fade because I am there so much? My anwser is heck yeah I will keep doing this because I FEEL BETTER THAN I HAVE IN A LONG LONG TIME!! I love the feeling I am having right now, right this moment, the feeling you only get after a great workout. Heck I look at my legs and can see they are getting tighter, now hopefully that works up to my buttSmile
Now we might not be on here as often as others, but we are here, a part of this AMAZING community, and we aren't going anywhere...Let me take that back, yes we are, we are GOING ON A CRUISE with you all!!
Ok, now I have rambled on, I beter get off here and get some more paperwork done. I just wanted to share that with you, as I walked around the water channel tonight all I kept thinking was with every step I have more energy. You all have a great night and we weren't fibbing, our pictures are coming, just got to take the time to get them on here. Our computer is so slow that to enter pictures takes a few hours and I just haven't had the time lately. But soon...

With your help we can make a difference!Help fight cancer

Relay For Life®: Celebrate. Remember. Fight Back.

trackSigns  Good morning everyone, hope this finds you all having a wonderful weekSmile As I said in my last blog I was going to talk about another worthwhile cause I am involved in/Relay for life. For those of you who are not aware of what Relay for Life is here is a little description: Relay For Life®, the American Cancer Society's signature event, is a fun-filled overnight experience designed to bring together those who have been touched by cancer. At Relay, people from within the community gather to celebrate survivors, remember those lost to cancer, and to fight back against this disease. Relay participants help raise money and awareness to support the American Cancer Society in its lifesaving mission to eliminate cancer as a major health issue. During Relay For Life ® events, teams of people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking or running laps. The events are held overnight to represent the fact that cancer never sleeps. Through the survivors' lap and the luminaria ceremony, we honor the people who have faced cancer first hand, and we remember those who have been lost to this disease.

But, Relay isn't about taking laps -- it's about coming together in the fight against cancer. It’s a time to remember those lost to this disease and celebrate those who have survived. It’s a place where people connect with others, share the cancer experience, and find comfort and solace. And it's an opportunity to build hope for a future where cancer no longer threatens the lives of the people we love.

As volunteers and donors, your efforts support research, education, advocacy, and services that allow the American Cancer Society to offer help and hope to people across the country when they need it most. By joining together at Relay, we celebrate life, friendship, and an opportunity to work to defeat cancer for future generations.

Now like I also mentioned in my last blog, I am co-chair of the Relay for Life here in Rapid City this year. I began participating in the Relay for life when I lost my father to cancer in 1998, I started out being on a team, since that time I have lost my stepfather, grandmother, cousin, friend and in 2001 I was diagnosed with a low grade cancer myself(but I am fine nowSmile). The following year I decided to have my own team and have had a team at the event the past several years. Four years ago I decided not only to be on a team but I wanted to be on a committee which I enjoy very much and that enjoyment has lead me to the position I hold today as co-chair. All of us on this online weight loss community is here because we all needed help in some way, maybe that was just for accountability, or needing moral support or for whatever reason we all needed each other. Now I am asking all of you, my new friends for help. We are having a contest at our meetings this month to see who can send out the most emails concerning Relay for Life. Now we get credit for every email we send, no matter if it leads to a donation or not. So I am asking you all a favor. If you would give me permission to send you an email concerning Relay for Life I would greatly appreciate it. You can send this email to my email address:2clarins@live.com

I assure you I will only use your email address to send you the information, and I am not expecting any of you to donate. Of course if you wish to donate , it is for such a worthwhile cause and would greatly be appreciated also. If you do choose to make a donation to the Relay for Life, after you get the email from me, it will tell you how to make a donation on my team website. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone of you for your time in reading this long message and again would love if I could just send you the information. With all my friends on here if I sent all those emails, I think I have a shot at winning the contest for our committee meeting in May for the Relay for Life. Thank you

For every pound lost/ more energy and confidence gained

I want to start by saying HI to everyone, I sure hope you are having a wonderful day today! THe sun is shining out here today and it is gorgeous out! SunI really hope the entire weekend is like this. I look forward to our long family walks on days like today. Red roseYa know it really seems like I never have a "big"loss, its always small, or sometimes even staying the same, or even a time or two I gained but the one thing I have noticed through this entire process, it that for every pound I loose, I gain energy and I surely gain confidence! Now I still have a LONG way to goDisappointed but I know I will get there!Smile One day at a time. I am determined by the time we all go on our cruise I have the confidence I need to wear a swim suit around all of youSurprised
We haven't updated our photo's for some time, but we will this weekend, we were going to last weekend but I had a hair appointment on Wednesday so of course I wanted to wait to show you all my "new do". I haven't been to the swim center as much this week as I normally am and I sure do miss it. I have just been so busy with Relay for Life stuff, I am co-chairing the Relay for LIfe here in Rapid City this year and although I love it, and love being so involved it is trully time consuming. But I have been on my treadmill and going for walks outsideSmile In a few days I will be blogging more about my involvement in the Relay for Life(for those of you who aren't aware of what the Relay is it is a cancer walk) and I will be giving information to all of you if any of you are interested in helping out a worthwhile cause, cancer research! But for now, you all have a wonderful day and I look forward to chatting with you all again soonSmile And just a little note to say there are several of us trying really hard to plan a wonderful reunion and I can't wait to meet all who can attend!

    What a wonderful spring day

We have had snow the past two days here. I got really tired of seeing the little thing go across the bottom or top of tv, "Winter Storm Warning". BUt today I get up and it is so nice out, I can hear birds chirping and our grass looks a little greener and you just can see what a nice day it is going to be. I wish I didn't have to go to workDisappointed When I got on here and way reading everyones blogs and thought, gee I haven't blogged in a few days I better do that, then I notice April 2nd was the last time I blogged, WOW, been more than a few daysDisappointed Right now it has been really busy for me, my business is really busy, good time of year for everyone to get a massage! WHich don't get me wrong, I love it, I want to be busy, less time to think about food! I also am co-chair for our annual Relay for Life held here in Rapid CIty, so quite a bit of my time is donated to that this time of year. If you aren't aware what Relay for Life is, it is a walk in honor or in memory of someone you know who has or had cancer. This will be my 8th Relay, YEAHY!! I did take a year off last year with focusing on getting married and buying a house, but I am back at it stronger than ever. I love fundraising for such a worthwhile cause! I started participating in Relay for LIfe because I lost my Dad, wow 10 years ago this August, and my stepdad too, my grandma, my cousin, then 7 years ago, actaully my 2nd year of participating I got cancer myself, I was lucky no chemo no radiation, all surgecially removedSmile Three surgeries later I am doing great. And David has lost both of his parents to cancer, so needless to say our entire family as a team and we have raffles and bake sales and just get out there and do everything we can to help the American Cancer Society raise money for research for cancer. Anyway, sorry I am rambling I could go on and on about the Relay: it is wonderful experience! But what I am saying is that I been busy, but no excuse not to blog, I am on here every single night reading everyone elses blogs and messaging. Does anyone have any really good recipes out there? I have seen a few on different sites and have written them down, sometimes I get bored with the same stuff that I seem to cook. My husband Dave, doesn't eat veggies or fruit, so its difficult at times. I shouldn't say he doesn't eat them, he only eats a few veggies, very few. Well I better get off here and get ready for work. I hope to get off work and do something outside for awhile! I hope all of you are able to enjoy as beautiful of a day as we are hereSun You all take care. Oh, by the way...I am looking so forward to meeting all of you next year at the MPM reuion! I can't express how excited we are to be a part of it and to meet all of you on this wonderful community. This community has really helped me loose the weight I have. And you all help me stay strong, and realize if I have a bad day or two, its not over and not to give up but to strive forward and see the long term goal. Thank you!

    Missing in Action

I first want to say I am sorry I haven't blogged lately. It has been extemely busy right now for me. I am working on getting our second bathroom installed so my wife can do some of her work here at home. I just wanted to take a minute and say Hi to everyone and hope you all are doing great. I haven't been on the computer much in the past two weeks, but I promise I will get better about blogging. My wife and I love getting your messages and reading all your blogs, they are very encouraging! I seemed to hit a platuea for a few weeks, but I am back at it stong now. I see we have not reported our weigh in's yet this week, I will remind my wife to enter those after work. You have a great week.
    Take care

I thought this day would never get here :)

As you know I have been getting close to hitting a milestone, breaking the 200 mark! Well, the last two weeks have not been good weigh ins for me, but this week I was determined, and guess what... I DID IT! I got on that scale yesterday and I am at 199.5 YIPPEE! I think I scared the bageebas out of my 10 year old daughter as she was eating breakfast as I got on the scale and I am sure that my neighbors could hear me scream. I am sooooo excited, I have not seen a number under 200 in like 4 years so I am thrilled. Yesterday was also my 4 week weigh in day for the contest we are having at the swim center and they do all our measurements also, and I have dropped 5 inches in my waist in 4 weeks!!  This really gives me the  motivation to just work even harder. I am so very excited to shared this AMAZING information with all of you and hope you are all having an AMAZING week. You take care
Oh by the way, David hasn't blogged lately because he has been extra busy at work and like I mentioned in an earlier blog, we have a guest staying with us for a little while so we are not able to get on the computer as much at night as we used to but soon we both will be back to blogging like before.

    Tonights Biggest Loser

Does anyone know what is going on? We are watching tonights episode and it is a replay of last week. It says in the previews that it is new and that the remaining 5 go to Australia, but that isn't what is playing??
